We first met at design school and since then have worked on all types of printed and digital design projects. We’ve created identities for retail stores, promotional material for dance companies, publications for universities and publishing houses, and websites for artists and architects.
Fat is not just a retail store, but a creative force intricately linked to Melbourne's art, fashion and music community. Fat stocks Australian labels such as PAM, Claude Maus and ffiXXed alongside international labels including Comme Des Garçons, Opening Ceremony and Henrik Vibskov. We were commissioned to design a fresh new look for fat which included a new logo, business cards, swing tags, shopping bags, signage, flyers and other promotional material for their sales and events.
We were approached by Robyn Healy – head of RMIT Fashion and curator of fashion and textiles at the NGV – to design this end of year graduate book for the RMIT fourth year students. Working closely with both Robyn and the student committee we created a publication that captures the energy and excitement of course, the students and the fashion industry.
A website for the very funny and very sarcastic Melbourne artist Simon Zoric! His work uses humor and a variety of mediums to explore the self, identity and the problems associated with it.
WoodWoodWard is a three person architecture studio designing great sustainable buildings and interiors in Melbourne. It takes a lot of guts (and a generous budget) to say yes to gold holographic foiling, but it also takes guts to do the type of work these three do. Big kudos to you and thanks for putting your trust in us.
This was a project for our very good friends at Right Angle Studio – an identity for their first foray into the world of offline retail 'The Thousands Shop' (a complement to their online publication, also called The Thousands). Check out the awesome wooden signage!
Working closely with Supple Fox and the team at the Melbourne International Arts Festival, we art directed and designed the identity for the 2010 Beck's Festival Bar. The Festival Bar transformed Melbourne's iconic Forum Theatre into a house of worship for a series of performances responding to themes of Shamanism, the cult band, and music as religious experience.
Working closely with Kate Parker at the RCH education department, we designed and illustrated an exercise book with words and images for kids with chronic illnesses at the Royal Children’s Hospital.
The Melbourne Advertising Design Club awards night is like the Logies for the advertising industry. It's the one night of the year everyone puts down their pencils, comes together, pats each other on the back and gets completely wasted. We were commissioned to design the awards annual for those who don't remember the night.
Interplay is a contemporary ballet production by The Australian Ballet. Interplayer is a site which documents the processes involved in the creation of Interplay from beginning to end.
The theme for the festival was 'strength in numbers'. The identity consisted of images from an installation, built collaboratively over the course of a day. We art directed and designed all printed and web outcomes for the festival. One of the main outcomes was an A3 festival program, printed with 4 different covers.
