Sensory Identity – Sugar Mountain Festival 2016

Sensory is an “immersive dining experiment” – a collaboration between Sugar Mountain, tin&ed, Bomba & Cut Copy. Sensory explores the relationship between sight, sound, taste, smell and touch. Throughout the dining set menu, guests are treated to a tactile and interactive environment where all senses are stimulated. Sensory is an alternate reality where artists play with how people see and understand the world around them, creating a visceral and unique dining experience.

Its first incarnation, the sold-out Sensory One, debuted at Sugar Mountain 2016 and involved three of Melbourne’s most influential tastemakers – Bomba, Tin & Ed and Cut Copy.

Acclaimed Melbourne tapas restaurant Bomba expressed their artistry through an experimental food offering, paired with drinks, their menu underpinning the Sensory performance. Melbourne artists Tin & Ed worked with two and three dimensional aspects and ‘function and form’ to create an immersive environment, while Melbourne icons and ARIA winners/Grammy nominees Cut Copy composed an evolving soundscape to complement each course.
